Boys' basketball: Gabe York leads Orange Lutheran

They'll be talking about the Gabe York dunk for a while. York had 26 points, including a dunk Coach Chris Nordstrom said was "maybe the best I have ever seen in a high school game," to help Orange Lutheran defeat Dana Hills, 70-46, in the 1A playoffs.

In 1AA, Mater Dei defeated Chaparral, 79-34. Xavier Johnson and Katin Reinhardt scored 17 points apiece. Loyola defeated Trabuco Hills, 66-52. Jacob Hazzard had 15 points. Etiwanda defeated San Clemente, 68-39. Dominick Alexander had 19 points.

Canyon Country Canyon defeated Godinez, 70-29. Coley Apsay had 22 points. Brentwood defeated San Marino, 76-54. Leland King scored 24 points and Tra Holder 19. Damien defeated Citrus Valley, 54-31. Chris Reyes had 17 points.

St. John Bosco defeated Ridgecrest Burroughs, 84-46. Isaac Hamilton scored 21 points. Alemany defeated Azusa, 90-45. Marqueze Coleman scored 17 points.

Calabasas defeated Palos Verdes, 53-38. Joshua Cohan had 14 points and Holden Israel 13.

Beverly Hills upset Palm Springs, 49-48.
