Chanting, ‘Save our coach,’ players, parents and alumni from Granada Hills Kennedy held a rally in front of the campus Monday morning in support of longtime baseball Coach Manny Alvarado, who is facing a three-week suspension without pay following an alleged hazing incident last November involving two members of his baseball team who engaged in a fight.

Principal Suzanne Blake has told parents that an investigation found prior hazing incidents within the baseball program. Two tournaments have been taken away from the team this season, and players and coaches attended bullying-awareness classes last month.
