Time sure flies by fast, because Matt LaCour has now coached longer at Harvard-Westlake (sixth season) than at his former school, Woodland Hills El Camino Real (five).

For the first time since he took the Harvard-Westlake job, LaCour will face the Conquistadores in a regular-season game on Tuesday at O’Malley Field in a quarterfinal game of the Easton tournament.

‘All the players I coached are long gone,’ LaCour said.

He was 126-33 in five seasons at El Camino Real, winning the 2005 City Section championship.

Don’t look for LaCour to treat the Conquistadores nicely. His Harvard-Westlake team is ranked No. 1 by The Times and is expected to use sophomore Jack Flaherty on the mound but ace Lucas Giolito may start in preparation for next Tuesday’s Mission League opener against Alemany.

El Camino Real is 2-0. LaCour will surely give the Conquistadores a tour of his home facility.
