At least two radar guns had Harvard-Westlake pitcher Lucas Giolito hitting 100 mph on a fastball Tuesday during an Easton tournament game against El Camino Real.

Giolito reached 99 mph during winter ball. He signed with UCLA in November, but he’s a candidate to be the No. 1 pick in the June amateur draft.

He’s expected to pitch in Harvard-Westlake’s Mission League opener next Tuesday at home against Alemany in a key two-game series. Alemany is considered the top challenger to Harvard-Westlake in league play.
