Water polo: Mater Dei star picks Stanford

Bret Bonanni, the standout water polo player for Southern Section Division I champion Santa Ana Mater Dei, has picked Stanford as his college choice.

Another Monarch standout, Anthony Daboub, will sign Wednesday with UCLA. The Bruins also have a commitment from Agoura standout Danny McClintick and are in the running for El Toro goalie Garrett Danner.
