Track: City Section reinstates frosh-soph championships

After a two-year absence, the City Section has decided to hold freshman-sophomore championships in track and field during the varsity competition in May.

The Interscholastic Athletic Committee voted Monday to approve the return of freshman-sophomore postseason competition effective this spring. Individual championships will take place at Birmingham during the same meet of the City finals in varsity.

IAC also approved a change in golf rules that will allow coaches to speak with players between holes during regular-season matches.
