Girls’ basketball: Edison league win streak is at 42 and counting

The streak is alive for Huntington Beach Edison in girls’ basketball. The Chargers have won 42 consecutive Sunset League games after beating Huntington Beach, 60-58.

Katie Lou Samuelson has been keeping the Chargers (13-2) on top while her sister, Karlie, recovers from an ankle injury. Samuelson scored 24 points and made a key three-pointer late in the game.

Samuelson is averaging 21 points and has become one of the top players in Orange County.
