Orange Lutheran announced Tuesday that it has begun a search for a new football coach. Jim Kunau, the head coach for 19 years, will not be returning as coach. He will continue to work at the school.

Orange Lutheran failed to make the Pac-5 Division playoffs the last two years. Kunau guided the Lancers to the Pac-5 championship in 2006. He had a record of 182-52-3, including 13 league championships.

‘Jim has been a pillar at Orange Lutheran for over two decades,’ Principal Leslie Smith said.

Said Servite Coach Troy Thomas: ‘He’s a darn good coach. The guy won 182 games.’
