After the NFL playoff games this past weekend, the importance of punters and kickers should be pretty clear, and there are lots of good returning kickers for high school football this fall.

Two of the best will be seniors Bret Miller of San Clemente and Jordan Dascalo of Woodland Hills Taft. Dascalo was an All-City punter last season, averaging 46 yards a punt. He also booms the ball into the end zone on kickoffs. Miller made nine field goals for San Clemente.

Rising young kickers include sophomore-to-be Ben Kreitenberg of West Hills Chaminade and junior-to-be Lucas Alfonso of Sherman Oaks Notre Dame.
