Canyon Country Canyon returns one of the top receivers in the Southland in Drew Wolitarsky, but the big question has been who would be the quarterback to get him the ball?

Well, a quarterback has just joined the mix. Darrell Johnson, a 6-foot-2 senior-to-be, has transferred to Canyon from Lancaster Paraclete, where he was a backup last season. He’ll have to beat out Canyon’s JV quarterback last season, Cade Apsay, younger brother of basketball standout Coley Apsay.

The quarterback transfers have just begun in January with the start of the spring semester. There are more to come.
