For the first time in more than 10 years, Pasadena Muir has knocked off neighborhood rival Pasadena in a league game. The Mustangs defeated Pasadena, 64-60, on Friday night before an overflow crowd at Pasadena.

Jelani Mitchell made two free throws with seven seconds left to clinch the victory. Muir (18-1, 7-0) held a 28-21 halftime lead, fell behind in the fourth quarter after starters Andre Frazier and Taturs Mayberry fouled out, but was able to rally and pull out the victory. Dion Nelson and Tevin Polk each scored 16 points.
