Boys’ basketball: Loyola picks up 64-54 win over Harvard-Westlake

Before a packed crowd at Cal State Los Angeles, Loyola (13-2, 2-2) defeated Harvard-Westlake, 64-54, in a Mission League game.
Julian Harrell and Jacob Hazzard had 16 points apiece and Justin Childress added 14. Zena Edosomwan led Harvard-Westlake with 19 points and 20 rebounds.
Crespi (17-1, 4-0) remained atop the Mission League standings after a 71-54 win over Chaminade. Michael Milligan Jr. and London Perrantes each had 16 points. St. Francis defeated Sherman Oaks Notre Dame, 62-57.
In the Foothill League, Canyon Country Canyon improved to 18-1 with a 61-47 win over Valencia. Clay Kasdorf scored 25 points.
In the Trinity League, Katin Reinhardt scored 22 points in Mater Dei’s 80-32 win over Servite. St. John Bosco defeated Santa Margarita, 78-69. Isaac Hamilton scored 30 points. In the Moore League, Long Beach Poly defeated Lakewood, 74-30, with Roschon Prince scoring 25 points.
In the Baseline League, Etiwanda defeated Upland, 61-43. Sam Flemming scored 15 points and had 20 rebounds. Jordan McLaughlin had 20 points. Etiwanda is 17-1.
In the Alpha League, Windward defeated Brentwood, 80-72. Leland King and Tra Holder had 23 points apiece for Brentwood. Nicholas Stover led Windward with 21 points. Campbell Hall defeated Cathedral, 59-43, in a nonleague game, with Aaron Holiday scoring 28 points.
In the Marmonte League, Calabasas defeated Thousand Oaks, 78-46. Jeremy Lieberman scored 27 points. Royal defeated Newbury Park, 50-24. JR Powell had 12 points. Westlake defeated Simi Valley, 53-48. Grant Lozoya scored 21 points.
Oaks Christian defeated Santa Clara, 75-60, in the Tri-Valley League. Jason Ghilarducci had 16 points.
In the West Valley League, El Camino Real defeated Cleveland, 73-46. Julian Richardson scored 22 points and Michael Thomas had 14 rebounds. Taft defeated Granada Hills, 60-39. Brandon Perry had 16 points and Anthony January had 14 points and 14 rebounds. Birmigham defeated Chatsworth, 79-60. Andrew Estes made three three-pointers and had 18 points.
In the Valley Mission League, Dom Vargas had 18 points, eight rebounds and six assists in Kennedy’s 61-42 win over Reseda.
Muir is 16-1 after a 66-54 Pacific League win over Glendale. Andre Frazier scored 15 points and had four blocks. Pasadena defeated Crescenta Valley, 80-59. Ajon Efferson had 19 points and eight assists.
In the Ocean League, Santa Monica defeated Culver City, 67-61. Jordan Mathews scored 22 points.
Dominguez defeated Warren, 53-49. Brandon Hunt scored 14 points. Providence defeated Holy Martyrs, 56-53.
In the Rio Hondo League, La Canada (11-6, 3-0) received 17 points from Jay Srinivasan to defeat San Marino, 62-45.
In the Pac-7, Righetti defeated Atascadero, 77-62. Freshman Cam Walker scored 19 points for Righetti. Sophomore Rob Berwick scored 29 points for Atascadero. Righetti is 14-2 and 4-0.
