Boys’ basketball: Jerry DeBusk to step down at Santa Margarita

Jerry DeBusk, in his 20th season as coach at Santa Margarita, told his players on Saturday that this will be his final season as coach, the school announced in a news release.

DeBusk guided Santa Margarita to state titles in 1998 and 2008. His record is 463-133 at Santa Margarita and 636-251 overall.

DeBusk will remain a teacher at the school and finish out the season as coach. The team is 13-11 this season and 1-6 in the Trinity League.
