Boys' basketball: It's time for Palisades to make its move

Westchester and Fairfax have dominated the Western League in basketball, but Palisades has an opportunity in the next week to become the league champion.

On Wednesday, the Dolphins (12-9, 6-1) travel to Fairfax for a 5:30 p.m. showdown with the Lions for first place. Then next Monday, they will host Westchester.

Palisades has the league's best player in guard Donovan Johnson. The Dolphins also do something that Fairfax and Westchester sometimes have trouble doing -- making shots and scoring points.

There's never been a better time for a team to take away the championship from Westchester and Fairfax. But can the Dolphins pull it off?

We'll know in a week.
