Boys’ basketball: Gor Plavchyan gets 37 points, 24 rebounds

Gor Plavchyan, a 6-foot-7 senior at Van Nuys Grant, had 37 points and 24 rebounds on Saturday in a 94-73 victory over Narbonne in the Fairfax City Preview Classic.

Grant opened a 38-12 lead after the first quarter, when Plavchyan scored 17 points. Grant, the top team in City Section Division III, is 17-5.
