Boys’ basketball: Crespi takes over first place in Mission League

Encino Crespi is the only team unbeaten in Mission League play after the Celts knocked off Mission Hills Alemany, 60-55.

London Perrantes and Michael Milligan Jr. each scored 15 points to help the Celts improve to 16-1 overall and 3-0 in league. Justin Rubia connected on a three-pointer with about a minute left to put the Celts on top by four points. Crespi then made five of six free throws to seal the victory.

Alemany (14-3, 2-1) received 14 points from Marqueze Coleman.

Chaminade (11-5, 1-2) defeated Harvard-Westlake, 44-42, on a Jaron Martin three-pointer with four seconds left. Martin scored 30 points for the Eagles. Jack Williams had 17 rebounds.
