Boys' basketball: A big week ahead

The showdown games are starting to happen in high school basketball.

On Wednesday, there's Orange Lutheran at Santa Ana Mater Dei, Encino Crespi at Mission Hills Alemany, Woodland Hills Taft at Woodland Hills El Camino Real and Mission Viejo at Tesoro.

On Friday, there's Brentwood at L.A. Windward and Los Angeles Loyola vs. Studio City Harvard-Westlake at Cal State Los Angeles.

On Saturday, in the Johnnie L. Cochran Jr. Basketball Classic at LACES, Gardena Serra plays Los Angeles Price at 8:30 p.m. Other games: Salesian vs. LACES, 10 a.m.; Diamond Ranch vs. Beverly Hills, 11:30 a.m.; Las Vegas Legacy vs. Dominguez, 1 p.m.; Las Vegas Durango vs. Dorsey, 2:30 p.m.; Renaissance vs. Brentwood, 4 p.m.; Fresno Central vs. Washington, 5:30 p.m.; Ribet vs. Pacific Hills, 7 p.m.

Also on Saturday is the Fairfax City Preview Classic, matching Taft vs. Grant at 5 p.m., followed by Fairfax vs. Narbonne at 7 p.m.

And Village Christian will play Oaks Christian at 7 p.m. at El Camino Real on Saturday.
