Boys’ basketball: Marqueze Coleman gets 30 points for Alemany.

Marqueze Coleman had 30 points and KJ Moffett contributed 12 assists in Alemany’s 89-47 win over North Hollywood in an opening-round game of the San Fernando Valley Invitational.

In other San Fernando Valley games, Crespi defeated Golden Valley, 76-27, to improve to 6-0. Michael Avery scored 27 points. Sherman Oaks Notre Dame defeated University, 74-61. Kennedy Edwards scored 24 points and Johnathan Bell 23. Crenshaw got 20 points from Andre Edwards in a 55-50 win over Eastside. West Ranch defeated Westlake, 70-47.

Grant defeated Burbank Burroughs, 60-39, and will play Crenshaw in the second round.

In the Mission Prep tournament, La Costa Canyon defeated Campbell Hall, 68-51. Freshman Aaron Holiday had 34 points for Campbell Hall. Woodland Hills Taft defeated Cypress Bay, 57-45. Brandon Perry had 21 points and Kris Yanku 15.

Harvard-Westlake defeated Abby College, 80-35. Derick Newton scored 17 points and Zena Edosomwan 16.

Chaminade defeated Pacifica, 51-29. Jack Williams had 18 points and 12 rebounds.
