Girls’ basketball: Oak Park wins in five overtimes

Oak Park and St. Bonaventure needed five overtimes Saturday night to decide the championship game of the Bishop Diego tournament in girls’ basketball. When it was over, Oak Park won, 98-90. It was the third most combined points scored in state history.

Kelsey Haines had 28 points for Oak Park. Sarah Bucknovitz had 25 points, 13 rebounds and five blocks. Leah Greenberg made a three-pointer with 14 seconds left in regulation to send the game into the first overtime. McKenna Hill had 31 points for St. Bonaventure.
