Football: Westlake, Oaks Christian, T.O. are headed to Sacramento

Westlake Village Westlake, Oaks Christian and Thousand Oaks will open the season in 2012 playing in Sacramento as part of the Battle for Veterans football showcase.

Del Oro High in Loomis will host the three Marmonte League teams. Oaks Christian opens its season on Aug. 24 against Del Oro, which is playing in the CIF state championship Division II bowl game. On Aug. 25, Thousand Oaks will face Elk Grove Franklin and Westlake will take on Granite Bay.

The following week, Westlake will host a showcase. On Aug. 31, Westlake will play Del Oro and Oceanside will face Oakdale. On Sept. 1, Upland will play Windsor and Oaks Christian will play Granite Bay.
