Football: Gabe Marks is Western League player of the year

Receiver-defensive back Gabe Marks of Venice has been named the player of the year from the Western League.

Nick King of Westchester was the offensive player of the year and Marcus Manley of Fairfax and Jayshawn Lowe of Venice were the defensive players of the year. Jahret Hood of Venice and Anthony Kyles of Westchester were the linemen of the year.

Sophomore quarterback Alexander Diamont of Venice made first-team all-league, along with another sophomore, Westchester lineman Malik Lumar.
