Former Woodland Hills Taft Coach Troy Starr could be returning to the Southland next weekend after San Diego Helix won the San Diego Section Division II championship with a 44-6 win over Oceanside on Monday night. Oceanside was seeking its eighth consecutive section title.

By winning, Helix (12-1) becomes the favorite to land a CIF state championship bowl bid for Division II at the Home Depot Center in Carson. Quarterback Brandon Lewis passed for three touchdowns.
