Boys’ basketball: Pacific Hills wins title at Torrey Pines

Pacific Hills, showing the strength of the Alpha League, won its championship game of the Torrey Pines tournament, taking the Governors Division with a 57-39 victory over West Torrance.

Brandon Taylor and Marcus Jackson each scored 21 points and were named co-tournament MVPs. Pacific Hills is 11-3.

Los Angeles Windward was beaten by DeMatha, 74-64, in the championship game of the National Division. Nick Stover and Jordan Wilson made the all-tournament team.

Santa Maria Righetti was beaten by La Costa Canyon, 60-52, in the American Division final. Hunter Walker had 18 points. In the Mayors Division final, Murrieta Valley routed Chatsworth Sierra Canyon, 80-55.

Woodland Hills Taft was beaten by Newark Memorial, 55-49. Anthony January had 21 points.
