There are basketball games and tournaments galore starting Monday and lasting all week, day and night.

The Chaminade tournament starts at 9 a.m. on Monday with the host Eagles playing Golden Valley. It was nice of Chaminade Coach Todd Wolfson to make his team play the opening game. His players will miss out on early shopping opportunities, but they’ll have all day to catch up.

On Tuesday, the Oaks Christian tournament begins. No. 4 Etiwanda (10-1) opens against Morningside at 6 p.m. No. 18 Calabasas (10-0) plays Oaks Christian at 7:30 p.m.

The Hart tournament also begins on Tuesday. Grant plays Camarillo at 6 p.m. in a featured game.

The Redondo tournament that includes Encino Crespi, Los Angeles Price and Los Angeles Washington begins on Tuesday.

The Covina tournament starts on Monday and features Damien, Northview and Riverside North. The Orange Holiday Classic begins Monday at Chapman College and is headed by Orange Lutheran.

The La Salle-Temple City tournament begins on Monday with Pasadena Muir, Sun Valley Village Christian and unbeaten Cantwell Sacred Heart the top teams entered.
