Football: Windward’s eight-man days are about to end

Los Angeles Windward will switch to 11-man football next season, but the Wildcats are trying to go out in style with an eight-man championship. They play Excelsior on Saturday night at Victor Valley College for the Southern Section eight-man title.
Windward is 11-1, and three junior basketball players are helping the football team: Jordan Wilson, Charles Dawson and Elijah Cuffee, plus a sophomore, Drew Bryant.
