San Pedro looked like it had stopped Narbonne.

The Gauchos faced fourth and long and were punting. Then the snap sailed over Troy Williams’ head.

But Williams corralled the ball and, with defenders quickly closing in, heaved a 24-yard pass to Greg Clark for the first down. Four plays later, Tray Boone ran for a 26-yard touchdown to pull Narbonne to within 35-34.

The extra point went awry, though, when a pass on a busted play was intercepted by Deshawn Sambrano in the end zone.

The Pirates need to run 6 minutes 3 seconds off the clock to hold on for the victory.
