Football: AstroTurf is coming to state bowl games

You can always count on it to rain during the CIF state championship bowl games at the Home Depot Center, but next month, the field will hold up much better than last season’s downpour.
AstroTurf is putting in an all-weather field for a collegiate all-star game on Jan. 21, and it will be ready for the state bowl games on Dec. 16-17. Last year’s grass field took a beating.
