Lonnie Jackson is off playing for Boston College, but Valencia is still a good basketball team. The Vikings opened their season with a 91-86 overtime victory over Chatsworth in the Simi Valley tournament.
Zach Davis, a 6-foot-5 senior, scored 30 points and had 11 rebounds. Terrell Funches had 33 points for Chatsworth.
