The usual Chatsworth-El Camino Real domination in the West Valley League could get some competition this spring from Granada Hills.

In the Moorpark tournament held over Thanksgiving weekend, the Highlanders defeated Westlake and Chaminade while battling Simi Valley to a 0-0 tie through seven innings.

Against Simi Valley, Granada Hills ace Nathan Pyle threw four shutout innings. Against Westlake, Kyle Baumgartner went five for five.

Chatsworth, behind Kiefer Kofman, should be as good as usual.
