Baseball: Darrell Miller Jr. to sign with UCLA

Catcher Darrell Miller Jr. of Anaheim Servite is set to sign with UCLA when he returns home from school on Wednesday, his father, Darrell Sr., said.

The big question is whether UCLA will finally be able to keep a catcher from the pros.

In 2009, they lost top prep standout Max Stassi for $1.5 million to the Athletics. This past August, they lost Austin Hedges of JSerra for $2.5 million to the Padres.

Miller batted .545 for Servite and is also expected to receive attention from the pro ranks.
