Football: Another brawl while shaking hands

Shaking hands after sporting contests is a time-honored tradition, but it’s also the time fights seem to break out among high school teams.

There was a brawl with high school teams in Florida.

And don’t forget about the brawl involving El Camino Real and Canoga Park. Both times, problems erupted when shaking hands.

When the Marmonte League tried to ban shaking hands, that didn’t last long because of protests.

Perhaps coaches need to have another talk with their players explaining the meaning of shaking hands after games. Too many are forgetting how to behave.
