The Conor Lynch Foundation, established by the parents of the former Sherman Oaks Notre Dame cross country runner who died in a hit-and-run accident while training with his team last year, is trying to raise awareness and promote the safety of pedestrians, runners, cyclists and young drivers.

A 5K Run/Walk in honor of Conor Lynch will be held Sunday at Sherman Oaks Park. Some 1,000 participants, including high school cross country teams, will join together to remember Lynch and raise funds for the Conor Lynch Foundation.
