Despite a 15-year contract agreement that the CIF and Time Warner Cable announced on Thursday to broadcast regional and state championship events, Fox Sports West will continue its relationship with the Southern Section as part of a three-year contract worth more than $250,000 per year to the section.

Fox Sports gets first choice on what Southern Section football games to broadcast on television or the web and is the only live Friday night football telecast by contract.
