Football: Younger brother of Taylor Martinez has quite a game

Drake Martinez, a junior running back-defensive back at Laguna Beach who’s the younger brother of Nebraska quarterback Taylor Martinez, had an MVP-like performance against Huntington Beach Ocean View.

He rushed for 334 yards in 17 carries, scoring four touchdowns, with each TD run beyond 50 yards. He made two interceptions, returning one for a TD. He blocked a kick and also caught a two-point conversion.

Even during his days at Corona Centennial, Taylor Martinez would have had a tough time duplicating his brother’s performance.
