Football: Southern Section players in the NFL

There are nearly 100 NFL players who once played high school football for a Southern Section team, according to the list compiled by the Southern Section office.

The Philadephia Eagles lead NFL teams with the most Southern Section players at eight. They are DeSean Jackson (Long Beach Poly), Winston Justice (LB Poly), Mike Patterson (Los Alamitos), Casey Matthews (Oaks Christian), Joselio Hanson (St. Bernard), Nnamdi Asomugha (Leuzinger-Bishop Montgomery), Curtis Marsh (Royal) and Jon Dorenbos (Garden Grove Pacifica).
