Football: Servite tries to regain respect for California

Top teams from California venturing out of state have not done well this season. Concord De La Salle and Mission Viejo suffered big defeats in their out-of-state trips.

Now Anaheim Servite is in Las Vegas for a game against Bishop Gorman Friday night at 7 on ESPNU. The Friars are 4-0 and Bishop Gorman is 5-1.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal picks Bishop Gorman to win by three points. Yes, that would be a good pick if it was Bishop Gorman basketball, but this is football, and the Friars are going to show everyone that California football is just fine.
