Football: Servite holds off La Habra, 24-16

Cody Pittman completed 17 of 25 passes for 230 yards and two touchdowns as No. 1-ranked Servite held off La Habra, 24-16.

Sam Hunt caught eight passes for 147 yards. La Habra's Sean Sparling passed for 190 yards and two touchdowns.

Dorsey defeated Garfield, 32-26, in overtime. Crenshaw defeated Banning, 54-28.

Chaminade pulled out a 14-10 win over Valencia. Kawan Rally rushed for 305 yards and four touchdowns in El Camino Real's 28-14 win over Sylmar.

Simi Valley knocked off Newbury Park, 9-0, in a Marmonte League opener.

Riverside North stunned Alemany, 36-35, in the biggest upset of the night, getting a two-point conversion in the final minute to win.
