Football: Oxnard player is in intensive care unit

Oxnard High football player Adrian Padilla is in intensive care at Sierra Regional Medical Center in San Luis Obispo after undergoing emergency brain surgery for an injury suffered during a Friday game against San Luis Obispo, the Ventura County Star reported on Wednesday night. His condition has been upgraded from critical to serious.
