Junior quarterback Hayden Rettig completed 30 of 47 passes for 508 yards and six touchdowns with one interception in L.A. Cathedral’s 52-36 victory over Wilmington Banning.
Devon Dunn completed touchdown passses to five different receivers in Alemany’s 46-7 win over Eastside. Steven Mitchell had a 96-yard TD catcher.
Lucas Alfonso, a sophomore promoted from JVs, made a 40-yard field goal in overtime on his first varsity kick to give Sherman Oaks Notre Dame a 17-14 win over Valencia. Kevin Carrasco had a TD catch, interception and forced fumble.
Santa Margarita showed its potential with a 39-7 rout of Tesoro. Johnny Stanton passed for 226 yards and two touchdowns.
South East defeated Gardena, 38-0, with four interceptions. L.A. University ended a 24-game losing streak with a 46-6 win over Animo South. Dorsey defeated Taft, 10-3. Norco defeated Crenshaw, 21-20.
Narbonne defeated Palos Verdes, 34-32. Troy Williams rushed for two touchdowns and passed for another. Chaminade defeated Venice, 41-21, with Terrell Newby rushing for 264 yards and five TDs.
Wyatt Bradford scored on runs of 50, 26 and 35 yards and Cameron Walker had a 39-yard interception return for a touchdown in Loyola’s 35-7 win over West Covina.
