Track: Nia Britt is more than just another face in the crowd

What does Alemany freshman Nia Britt have in common with golfing great Tiger Woods, tennis legend John McEnroe and basketball Hall of Famer Lew Alcindor?

They all appeared in Sports Illustrated’s Faces in the Crowd.

Britt will be featured in the Aug. 22 issue of SI after twice setting a national Amateur Athletic Union Junior Olympics record in the shot put earlier this month. Her longest toss was 51 feet 6.25 inches.

Britt certainly has some athletic genes in her favor; she is the cousin of Atlanta Hawks guard Jeff Teague, Tennessee Titans receiver Kenny Britt and Kentucky guard Marquis Teague.
