Linebackers are the key to a successful defense. If they are quick and aggressive, they can become disruptors.

It’s a good year for linebackers in Southern California. Butch Pauu of Anaheim Servite is committed to Brigham Young. Aaron Porter of La Habra is committed to UCLA. Jabari Ruffin of Downey is committed to USC. Blake Rodgers of Tesoro is committed to Washington. C.J. Dozier of Temecula Chaparral is committed to Arizona State.

Jeremiah Allison of Dorsey moves from defensive end to linebacker. He has 42 sacks the last two seasons. Su’a Cravens of VIsta Murrieta is a junior who has SEC schools pursuing him.

Carlos Mendoza of Oaks Christian and Salamo Fiso of Long Beach Poly were impressive all summer. Seth Jacobs of Arroyo Grande is a tackling machine.
