Football: Segerstrom, Wilson fall in Northern California

Long Beach Wilson and Segerstrom kicked off the 2011 football season Saturday in Northern California, and neither was able to open with a victory. Wilson dropped a 21-13 decision to perennial Sac-Joaquin Section power Napa. Roseville scored four touchdowns on plays of 40 yards or more and defeated Segerstrom, 56-21.

Southern Section teams went 2-2 over the weekend in season-opening games, as Edison and Fountain Valley won their openers Friday.
