Boys’ basketball: Gabe York, Grant Jerrett selected for Boost Mobile Elite 24

La Verne Lutheran forward Grant Jerrett and Orange Lutheran guard Gabe York were among the final 12 players selected to participate in the Boost Mobile Elite 24 at 4 p.m. Aug. 27 in Venice Beach.

York will also compete in the slam dunk competition at 3 p.m. Aug. 26. Both events will be televised live by ESPNU.

The Boost Mobile Elite 24 will feature two dozen of the top high school players from around the country, including consensus No. 1 standout Shabazz Muhammad of Las Vegas Bishop Gorman.
