Arden Pabst of Studio City Harvard-Westlake earned a gold medal Sunday when the USA 16U national team defeated Cuba, 9-0, in the championship game IBAF World ‘AA’/16U Youth Championships in Mexico.
Pabst, who started at third base, had an RBI.
Two more Harvard-Westlake players, Lucas Giolito and Max Fried, could earn their own gold medals next month when they play for the USA 18U national team in Columbia.
Chatsworth Coach Tom Meusborn served as an assistant coach for the 16U team.
