Keeping tabs: Deon Thompson
Former Torrance High basketball standout Deon Thompson, who played at North Carolina, has signed a two-year contract with Union Olimpija (Slovenia) of the Euroleague.
Thompson played last season for AE Ikaros, a Greek A1 team. He was a starter for North Carolina's 2009 national championship team.
