Girls’ volleyball: Oxnard hosts summer invitational

Oxnard High School is hosting a two-day girls’ volleyball invitational on Aug. 5-6 that’s loaded with top teams.

Action begins at 9 a.m., and there will be four pools of teams.

Among the schools entered are Orange Lutheran, Dos Pueblos, Harvard-Westlake, Valencia, Vista Murrieta, Santa Barbara, Redondo and Thousand Oaks.

The championship matches are set for 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 6.
