Mission Hills Alemany, Ventura St. Bonaventure, Gardena Serra, St. Francis, West Hills Chaminade and Los Angeles Dorsey top the field at L.A. Valley College.

Encino Crespi is among the teams at Santa Fe High. Mission Viejo is hosting a tournament, as is Oxnard Rio Mesa.

This will be the final major tournaments for lots of schools before they begin to take time off before practice begins in August.

Edison will get back its starting quarterback, Chase Favreau, who had been sidelined with a broken hand.

Next weekend’s big tournament will be at Claremont High.
