Boys’ basketball: Brentwood hires East Coast all-star coach

Private schools continue to make headlines with their big-time hires in high school basketball, and the latest is Brentwood’s hiring East Coast-based Tony Bergeron as its new coach.

Bergeron coached at East Longmeadow High School in Massachusetts and has served as recruiting coordinator/program director for the Five Star Basketball Camp in New York.

He previoulsy coached at Amerian Christian Academy in Aston, Pa., where one of this players was Tyreke Evans.

Brentwood plays in the Alpha League, which includes basketball powers L.A. Windward, Chatsworth Sierra Canyon, North Hollywood Campbell Hall and Van Nuys Montclair Prep.
