Basketball prospect Zeke Horton hopes a bright future is in the cards
You have to give the kid credit for trying.
Someone left business cards touting YouTube highlights of Zeke Horton, a junior swingman from Fort Worth (Texas) Southwest Christian, on the windows of cars parked outside the college coaches' entrance at Las Vegas Bishop Gorman High on Sunday night.
That happens to be the headquarters of the Fab 48 club tournament going on this weekend. Savvy kid.
The 6-foot-3, 165-pounder with a purported 3.5 grade-point average has some skills too, if his highlight video is any indication. He has decent range, a nice little spin move and some defensive tenacity.
You have to wonder if the likes of Steve Lavin and Ben Howland would be amused or peeved to find these cards on their rental cars. Maybe it's the start of a great story for Horton.
