July 4, 2011 |  6:56 am

The first year of the South Bay Summer League has Manhattan Beach Mira Costa rolling along with a 7-0 record in baseball.

Gordon Cardenas recorded two saves last week for Mira Costa, which is in first place in the West Division. South Torrance (4-3), Loyola (4-1) and San Pedro (5-1) also lead their divisions.

One of the hottest players is Patrick Moody of Palos Verdes, who's batting .619.

The league will hold its all-star game on July 13 at 7 p.m. at Marine Park.
